Judith Pheatt, Ph.D. Psychologist

Dr. Pheatt earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland. Her Masters and Doctoral degrees are from The University of Toledo. A native of Toledo, she spent 14 years living in a variety of places throughout the country before returning to Toledo. She worked as a rehabilitation counselor for 16 years. As a rehabilitation counselor, Dr. Pheatt worked with individuals having both physical and psychological disabilities. Dr. Pheatt is a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio and for over twenty years has provided psychotherapy to individuals with a wide range of emotional, gender, and health issues. In addition, her doctoral dissertation was on the adoption of "special needs" children which continue to be an ongoing interest. Utilizing a family systems approach, Dr. Pheatt also works with couples and families relative to parenting and marital problems. While she utilizes a wide range of theoretical perspectives, her approach varies according to the needs on the individual. Furthermore, she brings to the session personal maturity, sensitivity, and depth of life experience. .
