Jerome Zake, Ph.D. is a Psychologist licensed in Ohio. His professional interests involve psychotherapy and psychological evaluation. He works with children and adolescents in a family therapy context. He also sees adults, generally preferring a family therapy approach when conducting counseling

He sees children who have behavior problems including Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. He also works with individuals who have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and other anxiety disorders. He works with individuals having affective disorders, especially enjoying working with children.

Dr. Zake works with families where there are stressors that are presented by the children even when other family members may be experiencing the primary stress but not the symptoms. As such, he works with families and couples having marital difficulties.

Dr. Zake uses a systems approach to psychotherapy. He also blends a cognitive behavioral approach into his family work.

Dr. Zake also performs psychological evaluations with children and adults. He has experience working with individuals having traumatic brain injuries. He has been a trainer of school psychology students for over 20 years and has completed a large number of evaluations to determine if either children or adults have disabilities which require accommodations.
